Working around New Zealand

Pick A Picker was launched in May 25, 2007.

Along with Sarah (my partner) we created this business utility. Our goal is to provide an effective link between seasonal workers and New Zealand's fruit industry.

When I first arrived into NZ I had NO IDEA on where to start, I needed money to keep up with the normal day to day expenses and also to enjoy my time in the country.

I was surprised with the number of opportunities available, but I was also astonished with the lack of information and the amount of 'sharks' that are out there.
Ranging from all sorts of 'agencies' to people trying to 'help you', you would be surprise with the amount of money you could spend to literally achieve NOTHING.

This was my case, so we thought lets create a tool that allows employers to contact seasonal workers and backpackers DIRECTLY.
This is how http://www.pickacpicker.co.nz/ was born.

It has been over 10 months now and we have manage to find work for over 500 backpackers from a wide range of nationalities visiting all areas of New Zealand.

We also have a page on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Clive/wwwpickapickerconz/7108523527

In our Facebook page you can post photos and be updated with industry news.

If you are about to come to New Zealand on a working holiday or you are already here, leave us your message, ideas or suggestions about how can we help you better.

We wish you a great trip and lots of fun !

Regards,
Eduardo
